Mobvoi (出门问问) is an innovative AI company with in-house Chinese voice
search technologies: speech recognition, natural language understanding,
vertical search and proactive search. In October 2015, Mobvoi closed series-C
round financing led by Google Inc. This was Google’s first direct investment
in a Chinese company in the past six years. Since founded in late 2012, the
company has raised over $75 million with a valuation of $300 million as of
October 2015.
Mobvoi has formed strategic partnerships with Android Wear in China on voice
search services (September 2015), and on smart watch App Store (January 2016).
Leveraging its Chinese voice search technologies, Mobvoi has also developed a
Chinese smart watch operating system Ticwear in late 2014 and launched a popular
smart watch Ticwatch in June 2015. Currently Ticwatch is the second best selling

There are 200+ employees in Mobvoi's Beijing office, and the company is
currently expanding to Seattle, WA. We are now actively seeking qualified
candidates for our Seattle office in the following areas.
· Speech recognition and synthesis: acoustic modeling, language modeling,
decoder and synthesizer.
· Natural language processing (NLP) technologies: dialogue management, semantic
understanding, word segmentation, slot tagging, part-of-speech tagging, syntax
analysis and sentiment analysis.
· Deep learning: DNN, CNN, RNN, LSTM, etc.
Candidates should be
· Fluent in C++, Java or one scripting language,
· Familiar with Speech/NLP or deep learning algorithms,
· Comfortable with reading technical papers in English,
· Passionate in learning and applying technologies,
· Familiar with Linux and open-source tools such as Kaldi and TensorFlow,
· M.S. or above.
