The NLP positions are offered within the highly-active Language and Information
Society research group (https://www.grupolys.org/lys_en.html), which joins
together international researchers from computer science and linguistics
backgrounds interested in computational linguistics and NLP. The members of the
group regularly publish at top-tier NLP conferences (ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, EACL,
COLING, etc) and work on a variety of topics such as structured prediction,
sentiment analysis, low-resource scenarios, and question answering. The group
has an international atmosphere and has welcomed PhD and postdoctoral
researchers from European Union, United Kingdom, United States, and Asia at
every stage of its existence. Short videos describing some of the group's
activities are available on its YouTube channel, with subtitles in English and
Spanish.

health and well-being protections, good work-life balance, flexible working
hours, paid holidays and rest time. Fellows will receive a higher-than-average
salary for the sector – 40 % higher than Spanish Ministry for Science and
Innovation grants and predoctoral contracts at other universities. CITIC and the
UDC have an excellent social environment. Also, UDC has been granted the
European Commission HRS4R ‘HR Excellence in Research Award’, in recognition
of its implementation of the principles set out in the Charter and Code for
Researchers. CITIC is committed to the principles of non-discrimination and
gender equality in research in the recruitment of research personnel.

Finally, A Coruña has a number of attractions that make it an ideal place to
