The Text Analysis team of a world\'s leading provider of business software seeks
a Computational Linguist for a 3-4 month contract position to enhance a Japanese
language module to process unstructured text. The focus will be on the creation
of grammar rules and parsing algorithms using XFST formalism. Successful
candidate will know how to use finite-state technology to code grammatical
patterns and be able to use a data manipulation language such as Perl or
Python.
The project will start in June, work is to be done off-site, average time
commitment will be approximately 20-30 hours per week. Our client is based in
the Washington DC area, (Eastern Time zone), so although there is no geographic
requirement regarding remote work location, all consultants will be expected to
be timely in their communication and regularly available for some email or phone
correspondence during the client\'s regular business hours (9h00-17h00 EST).
