Status: Full-time entry level position
VoiceBox Technologies, a leader in providing conversational speech solutions in
cars, is looking to
expand a team of computational linguist to make a similar experience available
on hand-held devices.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language. Other programming languages
are a plus.
• Ability to generate and validate phonetic transcriptions
• Experience with NLP. Prior software development experience is a plus.
• Demonstrably comfortable with command line application tools
• Quick learner. Ability to carry out tasks with high quality and minimal
supervision.
• Experience with BNF and XML is a plus
• Knowledge of speech technology is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize language models
• Write, test, and optimize speech recognition grammars
• Provide finely tuned phonetic transcriptions
• Maintain transcription databases.
• Work closely with a group of computational linguists, speech scientists and
developers
