We have some great speech technology to let people speak effectively with their
devices; smartphones, smart TVs, cars, robots, you name it. We're a recently
funded spin-out company from Cambridge University, heavy users of machine
learning, a small but growing team and make voice interfaces that actually
work.
About the role:
Our research technology promises to change voice interaction but we want to make
it a platform that any developer can use. You'll be building out an API/SDK for
the technology, interacting with our machine learning scientists to make our
learning algorithms available to the world. The code needs to run on both our
web and mobile interfaces, so that any developer can embed voice interactions in
whatever they want to.
About you:
You love software, coding, and are really good at it! You want to work in a
strong team with world-class scientists, but you solve most problems
independently. We use many technologies: so far Python with Numpy, Java, C++
with Boost; you should know some of these well. You will be starting on our web
services, so you will need to quickly be up to speed with HTTP, JSON and REST,
and developing Android apps too.
